Ashley's Favorite Things... A Holiday Gift Guide

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

1) My all time favorite blanket is this super soft & warm throw from Berkshire Blanket. Perfect for snuggling up and binge watching an entire season of Gilmore Girls on Netflix. I even brought this with me to the hospital when I had Pearl. Literally writing this gift guide right now from underneath this blanket! ($25)

2) If you're looking for something a little more inspiring this holiday season try the Risen Motherhood book by Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler. I absolutely LOVE their podcast, and find what they have to say so encouraging, especially as a first time mom. So if you are curious to see how the gospel relates to everyday life, and especially motherhood... this one is for you! ($18)

3) The Birch Bag from Parker Baby Co. This is the diaper bag I personally use daily, and I'm obsessed. Not only is it super cute- it has a ton of awesome features too like insulated pockets for bottles, extra pockets for organization, and a changing pad! ($70)

4) A handmade letter pendant from Hard Work Jewelry. Get that special someone (or even yourself) a necklace with their/your initial. Hard Work Jewelry makes some of the coolest, most beautiful statement pieces- and this letter pendant is an easy way to add some flair to your look. ($40+)

5) Field & Stream Cabin Socks. Enough said. They are LITERALLY like little snuggly blanket clouds on your feet. I live in these from about September to April! Depending on your foot size, they have them in "mens" and "womens". ($14)

6) I have seen sherpa on everything this season, and I am loving this plush sherpa hoodie from Old Navy. I bought a sherpa pull over from Old Navy last year and wore it all through fall and layered with it through winter. The hood on this one makes it even better! ($44)

7) The best gift I received as an expectant mother was a wrap from Solly Baby. It is so soft, snug, easy to use, not bulky like other carriers, and the best part is I can easily throw it in my bag and go. I was able to use it right away when Pearl was born too, which she loved because it kept her so close. She is four months old now, and we still use it daily! ($65)

8) Mama & Babe sweatshirts from Ingrid & Isabel. Come on. These are so cute, and a great way for mama and baby to match each other, while staying warm and cozy. ($78) ($48)

9) These Kinsey Grace Co. knotted bow headbands for baby are too cute. I ordered these for Pearl before she was even born and she has worn these for almost every occasion, and always gets a ton of compliments! Who can resist a baby with a bow on their head? ($7)

10) Know someone that loves to meal prep? A nice set of glass meal prep / food storage containers would be perfect for them. I love opening the fridge and seeing all my lunches for the week and knowing they are ready to go. I tend to eat so much healthier when I prep ahead too, instead of grabbing something unhealthy in a pinch. ($22)

11) Coffee lovers unite! This bourbon barrel aged coffee from Oak & Bond Coffee Co. would make the perfect gift. Even the packaging is awesome! ($26)

12) I'm not even going to admit how many times I've ordered this Vanilla & Coconut body lotion from Deep Steep. I may or may not be addicted to the scent, but it is also a fantastic lotion. I get super dry skin in the winter, and I use this body lotion year round. Keeps me feeling great and smelling good. ($8)

13) Who knew a shirt could say it all? This Mothers are Magic shirt from Bee and Mae really does. Mothers are Magic. I definitely thought this to myself today as I was running around the house trying to get everything done while my four-month-old refused to nap. I might have even thought it while I shoveled cold soup into my mouth over the sink while rocking her today. ($28)

14) Now hear me out on this one... a red rubber bone for the furry friend in your life. I don't know what it is about this bone but when I took it out of the bag, my dog went nuts. Absolutely nuts. Not only did he love it, it's ridiculously inexpensive. ($1.99)

15) For your lips, I swear by Tarte Cosmetics Quench Lip Rescue. Not only is it tinted to give your lips a little hint of color, it hydrates them too! My favorite color is Rose which has a lovely mint smell. There are eight other shades to pick from. Best part is the smooth texture with no stickiness. I keep one in my diaper bag so I always have something to put on. I don't know why but it always makes me feel so much more put together. ($19)

16) My number one beauty product of all time is this Natural Radiance Booster from Seraphine Botanicals. I got this in an ipsy bag once... and it changed my world. Now I keep this bad boy STOCKED in my makeup bag. It's as if they took the best blush and the best highlighter and combined them into one product. I wear this daily, instead of blush and it gives me the healthiest looking glow. ($22)

17) I'm in love with this lace bralette from Lively! Comes in three colors, and is super cute and surprisingly comfy too. Lively is also one of the only places I was able to find a nursing bra that was not only cute but actually affordable too. A nursing bra would make a great gift for an expectant mama! Sizing for Lively bras and bralettes ranges anywhere from 32A to 44DDD depending on the style, and you can save $10 on your first order using my code "AMB-ASHLEYERINGUNN". ($35)

18) Last but not least, slippers for the whole fam: mama bear, papa bear, lil bear, and baby bear! Dearfoams really outdid themselves with these. I bought a set from Target and they are so comfortable, and not to mention sturdy. We will definitely all be wearing these Christmas morning. ($18+)
